Mednet Partnership wins Innovate UK SBRI Funding

In collaboration with ConnectedHealth Northern Ireland and ISArc, Mednet have won an Innovate UK Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) grant to test and evaluate home medication management for the elderly, to support domiciliary care services.

Our proposal for an evaluative framework breaks into a number of phases. Initially, this includes a client, carer and staff consultation group to ensure the set-up and design of the solution is optimised to cater for the needs of those who use and benefit from the intervention.

We will work together with evaluative partners from Leeds Beckett University and Ulster University to complete the evaluation and test a new technology – “Pill Plug” – in the homes of people using domiciliary care services in Northern Ireland.

We are delighted to have won this competitive grant following our success in securing funding for a research project in bipolar disorder in 2015.
