Mednet are working with one of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies to deliver a series of events aimed at healthcare professionals (HCP) in the field of ADHD. Previously in the year, we worked on three successful roadshow meetings announcing the launch of new dose of a medication, educating a multidisciplinary groups of HCPs on hot topics in the treatment and management of ADHD. Mednet are now working on two unique events targeting specialist HCPs, with advisory boards and other activities to follow in 2016.
The first event is a one-day meeting where the UK’s leading paediatricians and psychiatrists will have the opportunity to learn from eminent authorities in ADHD, setting the scene for interactive sessions discussing complex patient case studies. The day will educate these HCPs on the clinical elements of treating complex cases and enable them to understand the intrinsic role of personal circumstances to deliver best practice for these patients. The meeting has been accredited by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, enabling HCPs to gain vital continuing professional development (CPD) points.
We are also developing a two-day series of seminars for prescribing ADHD nurses. Leading consultant nurses and other specialists will deliver the programme of education, designed to provide additional support following initial qualification as a prescribing nurse. The seminars will enable nurses to evaluate current treatment options, understand the safety and efficacy of these, and understand legal implications and latest legislation around the responsibilities of drug prescribing. The Royal College of Nurses (RCN) have granted accreditation for this meeting, which will support re-evaluation.
